3 Strategies to build a Money Blog

Strategy 1: The search engine optimization way - you focus your blog content on one specific topic, like f.e. swimming pools and do everything necessary to bring your content to a good ranking within the search engines over time.
Strategy 2: You create a cool blog about a buzz subject like f.e. celebrity news and build your traffic from people coming back to your blog again and again.
Strategy 3: A combination from Strategy 1 and 2. The most toughest way to get rich - but if you succeed you are a web hero! :)

All strategies have advantages and disadvantages.
And certainly there are even more and more specified ones.

I just wanted to give you something to think about in general, and that is:
Dont try to get your MONEY BLOG without a STRATEGY.

Statistical tracking is essential to make money

Not everyone is into figures and analyzing them, I know.
But - if you want to make money with your blog, you definitely need the statistics!
For this you just need to implement a plugin or some code snippet into your blog.
Usually thats very easy.
Check how many visitors you have, which are the top webpages on your blog, how people did find your blog and so.
I think you understand why its important to know that: to analyze your strengths and weaknesses and act accordingly!
I recommend Google Analytics. Its powerful and it cost not a single dollar! :)
But there is no doubt that it will pay off!

Why Wordpress is the perfect blog software

First of all Wordpress is easy to install and has so many options to explore and use.
Certainly you wont use them all right away.
But as your blog grows along with your knowledge of blog software, you 100% want to get the most out of it.
And Wordpress will give it to you. Best of all: its free! :)
With thousands of plugins and extensions to optimize your blog. Also for free!
I recommend to do some donations to the developers as soon as your blog become a MONEY BLOG!

If you want to start your own blog and if you want to make money with it: Register your own domain and webspace for it!
Reason:
With your own domain you can already insert so-called keywords in it. So if you want to write f.e. about golfing, try to find something like "www.golf-pleasure.com"
See: golf as a keyword is in your address then. This makes you ranking much higher in search engines from the start.
Its clear: having someting like "www.golf-pleasure.com" indicates much more that you are writing about golf than "www.joe-website.com" or "joe.blog.com".
It costs you maybe 5$ a month but you will get 10-times the visitors.

Running a blog without statistical tracking is like driving car at night while wearing sunglasses. Most probably it can NOT be a success! ;)

To tell you the truth: no author has fallen from the sky. Writing is a skill that needs to be learned and trained.
Not only the informations you present need value. The style counts even more if you want your visitors to become "converters".

- Use some humour or everyday situation if appropriate
- "Talk" to the reader
- Have a call to action
Try to keep your message short.
The cool thing about internet and blogs: The less you write the MORE MONEY you can earn.

Money Blog: How to Set Goals

It makes no sense to start your money blogging project without having a goal in mind.
On the other hand it is also not necessary to set something like weekly goals for the next 2 years.
Here are some hints to find your goals:
1. Stay flexible as its a flexible business. Define goal areas not exact numbers.
2. Dont reach too high and adapt your goals on the base of the expiriences you have made.
3. Always think of how you can reach your goals. It makes no sense to say "I want to earn 1000$ a week" without having a clue how to do so.
4. Keep your eyes open and dont be a slave of your business plan. But always analyze why your numbers may be different (positive or negative).
